Hellfire tank on Savage X

Will the Hellfire tank fit in the stock position on the Savage X or will you need to mod? cornfused

I was looking at the tanks pretty closely on-line. i would have to say it would require some pretty serious modding. I don't think it would be worth it with all the other proven fuel tank mods out there

I agree I'm not sure it would be very easy. It is a pretty good sized tank to be hanging off the side like that. It would also off set the weight pretty bad. Here is a few pictures of my hellfire Mid tank you will see how clean it looks and nice it fits. It all puts the weight in the middle of the truck and tords the front to give better weight distribution.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the input. :resp: I was ultimately looking to solve the 1/2 tank lean without actually doing the mid tank mod. For now, I guess I can live with it.

I found a thread in the Mid Tank Mod forum well underway discussing the samething thing. Check it out. Now I need to decide wether to mount the hellfire tank in the middle or in the stock position. Looks good larsenracing.

radkal: I was in that thread asking about the Hellfire tank in the stock position as well since I saw that Sunkenmetal had already done it. I started this thread to see if any other HPISF members had any input about it. I also sent a PM to Sunkenmetal to see what was involved. I'll share whatever info he gives me when he responds.

Larsenracing: the mod does look sweet!
