Just got back from bashing and found that my trans is binding up and the nut for the slipper clutch keeps coming loose even with lock tight and it is the stock 2 speed anyone have this problem:axed:

I personally would lock the nut on the slipper down and maybe back off 1/8th turn. Are you sure you have the spring between the lock nut and the spur gear?

As far as the binding on the trans check the brakes as they could bind making you think its the trans. If it is actually the trans you will have to pull it apart and check ever thing over also check the bearings and I would almost thing its one of them if its not the brakes.

the locktite is your problem. don't use it, buy a new nut and don't use the locktite.

the locktite eats away at the plastic in the locknut.

As far as the binding, not sure bought that, but the suggestions everyone else made are good. And the slipper nut coming loose even with locktite, that's weird cuz I've got lock tite on mine and it hasn't come loose yet. I use lock tite only cuz I don't feel like buying a new one.

check the back of your spur gear, the pad on the back may be worn and/or the ribs that hold the pad on the spur could be melted. if thats the case check your clutch shoes to see if they are worn cb might be getting too hot and ruining your spur, happened to me last week had to order the aluminum ones

thanks guys the spur gear and pad is new i think it has to with the brakes because when u are on the throttle it doesnt bind only when it is in the neutral position i think it is the cam inside the trans,i am going to look into it more after i do the review
and i need to order a new nut the LHS don't have any

:chainkiller: I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM then i came to find out there is a little washer that sits behind the lock nut that has a hex hole in it. once i put it back in the prob went away. hopefully thats it, a simple fix
