So what does this Day mean to You? Getting as drunk as possible and finding your soul mate, Go to your nearest AA meeting or looking for a little a Lepercon kick his A&* take all his money.

Thanks Alex 😉

I have roots in Cork, Southern Ireland.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Health and a long life to you.
Land without rent to you.
A child every year to you.
And if you can't go to heaven,
May you at least die in Ireland.

Just wondering, is St Georges day celebrated across the pond?

St George. His emblem, a red cross on a white background, is the flag of England, and part of the British flag. St George's emblem was adopted by Richard The Lion Heart and brought to England in the 12th century. The king's soldiers wore it on their tunics to avoid confusion in battle.

Just as St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and St Patricks day is Irelands National day, St George is the patron saint of England and St Georges day is Englands National day (23 April)

I'm mostly English but as I say I have Irish roots, on my dads side of my family so I celebrate both days.

Its funny, I'd have thought there would be more English people and people of English decent in the USA than Irish, yet St Georges day is unheard of lol
