My savage wouldn't roll back so I assumed it was something in the tranny. When I took it apart I realized the grub screw that holds the gears together has come loose and jammed it and I can't figure out how to fix it! The screw is out so far that it hits those 2 retaining pieces on the silver part and I can't figure out how to tighten it! Any ideas?

since its so far out, you cant just rotate the gears and tighten it I'm assuming?

then all you have to do is take the assembly apart. its pretty easy. there's an exploded view in you manual somewhere( or you can download the manual at hpiracing.com)

once you pop the e-clip off( the on on the other side of the assembly, next to the bearing) everything bascily slides off.

Ya I would say disassembly is gonna be the best bet. and a dab of locktite upon reassembly will help it stay together......
