What can you say about this hopup? Was the performance gain noticeable(acceleration and handling (for low CG graphite TVPs)) after you installed this? Is this worth it? Please share your opinion guys. Thanks.

Post pics if possible. Thanks in advance.

Actually, I am starting to make Carbon Fiber parts at the moment. I have a few prototypes allready cut. These make the chassis much lighter and look very nice. They are just about as stiff and I see no problems occuring with them. Here is a link to my first thread about this stuff https://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4054 and a few pictures of the stuff which is also in the thread linked above

Extended LCG TVP's (extended 1.5" in rear, 1/2" Lower than stock X) For some reason you must clink picture link.

I also have a Mid-Tank/Servo plate drawn up but not cut but should have it all installed and cut next weekend. So keep an eye on the Thread linked above as I will post picts there.

Sorry for the crappy pictures!

PM me if intrested.

Yes Nissan I made them and will be producing them as we are starting a business of makeing RC parts. Check my link to the thread above. I'd love to sell you a set!

These pieces were made on a sheet that was scratched and pretty bad looking which I got for free but will be making 2 more sets this weekend which will be out of perfict Carbon Fiber.

I also screwed up the Motor plate if you haven't cought it yet look at the slot for the motor mount bolts. I was putting the countersink in the plate by hand with a countersing bit and slipped into the slot, Oops. I guess it will work for my truck. These TVPs are about 33% lighter than the stock savage X ones and they are 1.5" extended and LCG.

Watch for the web page www.platinumrcproducts.com which will be thrown up on the net soon but will be a chincy site right away just so I can get a site up. Also with in the next day or 2 I should have email at [email protected].

:nutshot: Hey Jason those do look awesome! I will be checking that link for info .And by the way, I hope you have another set to sell me soon.Seriously,I have considered the low cg.extended tvps but a set of those carbon fibers would definitly convince me.

One thought. With the Vertigo CF plates we had to CA glue all ends to keep them from fraying over time. The process worked great and is still holding today. I'd be interested in ext, LCG ( lowest possible ). Rock Concepts has the Lowest center of gravity plates out on the market. They are alum. I'd rather have CF. What quasi fiber are you using and resin filler. EX. VP used a 26 layer Quasi fiber and was just about the best at the time. Now he no longer makes the CF plates for the Savage truck. He's moved on to the Baja, Oh well.

You have my attention.....

My chassis is about 7/8" lower than that stock 21/25 chassis and is about 1/2" lower thant the new X chassis, its not quite as low as the RC alu. plates. All my parts are made from a Top Grade Quasi-iso carbon fiber all the Savage parts are 4mm and should be in the upper 30 to 40ish layers and some of my other parts like the slider chassis is 2mm and should be in the mid 20ish layers. My fiber is purchased as I don't have the time to be making it at this point. The edges do not need to be glued like ]-[Opa]Ong said but it doesn't hurt. I have a set on hand and can make more at any point. My web site is updated consistantly so keep an eye on it for more information. I am also working on a LCG standard length set and a nother mid-tank kit which will accept the Ofna 250 tank where my current one accepts a Hellfire tank. Anyhow, don't be afraid to email or whatever with questions.

Larsen ill definetely be hitting you up here in a few days for some of your tvyp's. Ill shoot you a email when the time comes. Thanks
