Just finished froma bash session and my f4.6 just died mid throttle. I tried to start it up and noticed there was no current going through so i switched glow plugs. The one that died is an os 8 (medium plug) and i switched to a r5 (which is a colder plug). What effect does it have on my tune? Does it get Leaner or Richer? I want to make sure so i get an idea before i mess with the needle settings.

I am guessing that it will run a bit richer as the engine will run cooler. I would run it before touching the needles though. Going into Fall temperatures ??, you may want a warmer plug.

Thanks for they reply GAJ. I took it for a quick run and i noticed it wanted to die a little at idle so I'm guessing your right about it being richer. And yes i it is getting colder around my place but i decided that my last few runs will be next week before i do a rebuild so ill just stay with that glow plug until next season.
