gear change and new clutch

Well, I went to the lhs tonight and thought I would but a larger spur gear. For some reason I thought that the stock gearing for the 4.6 was 49/15. I bought a 52t and 14t clutch bell. Ive never had my savage gears apart til tonight. I took everything apart only to find a 47t spur and 17t CB. Guess I shoulda read the specs first. Oh well. Ive been wanting to gear it down for more slow play anyway. I also installed new aluminum clutch shoes. I'm thinking next I will need a good wheely bar. My stock clutch shoes and slipper were junk, but now all is new. Too late to run here tonight but look out tomorrow

i run a 52/14 and its a good combo. Not as good as a 49/17 but its a whole new way of driving the truck!

I actually put the xl tires on last week. I drove it today and I do like it. I made a pretty sweet wheelie bar for it today that really helps and turned out better than I thought it would.
