fuel line

Was wondering if the fuel line could be to narrow inside diameter on a savage xl. At moment its 2.5 mm seems like its not getting fuel.quick enough. Done all settings hsn lsn still seems its lacking fuel if I turn hsn open any more to let more fuel in it won't run this what leads me to believe it could do with wider fuel line to supply a quicker spray in carb . I'm sure I seen someone post something about this before Can't find where I seen it. Any thoughts?

That is the first time I'm hearing something like this. The fuel lines are all standard that most likely isnt the problem. it sounds to me like you are bogging down the motor but opening up the HSN. Give it a try by leaning the mix by a turn. It should make the motor run better.

i have really narrow diameter fuel line for most my trucks. I worried about this to when i first got it, but to your question No doesnt matter. These trucks are a pressure system, more fuel you use more pressure you make, faster it pushes the fuel into the carb.

It won't throttle fast get up to speed cuts out about 5 seconds later. Done all sorts of tuning nothing works. Should 16% hpi fuel work or is it to low? Also I got a medium glow plug is this ok

Hate to say it but that's tune. Possibly low speed needle if taking to long to accelerate. Could be to rich, I'd set everything back to factory settings and start over.

Done that no end of times. Hsn 2-3 turns from closed lsn flush. Where should lsn be roughly when set?

As i said it is a tuning issue. You need to lean out the needle. Look up the forum for a tuning tutorial and watch some tuning vids on youtube.

I was talking to my lhs guy the other day about the 5.9 motor cause I just got a used motor for my savage 25, anyways he was telling me to check for the mid range screw that they put on the 5.9 carb is know for coming out, and it sounds like you are having mid range issues, my hobby guy told me that a lot of guys jb weld over them (which was done to mine) and that they don't ever need to be adjusted, mine runs fin, so yeah just a thought, might be worth checking out.

ya the mid range needle is very well known for backing out from vibration and throwing your tune out the window almost everyone now as was stated above just sets the tune up and seals the midrange needle so it wont move anymore i hate engines with the midrange needles i really don't see a need for them lol these nitro engines can be stubborn enough without adding more things to go wrong............

I just put bigger o rings in my K5.9 not an issue since. You can also put an lrp .30 carb in it an be done with the midrange needle all together! They bolt right in with no issue!

Three bond mid speed needle in place. It has a use but not enough power gain to notice on a savage.
