Front drive shaft length

I'm pretty sure my savage is a nitro converted to flux as it has integy finned orange motor plate and Integy clamps with no center diff. I've bought up several parts lots n have enough spares to literally biuld a few. But what has me pulling my hair out Is the front shaft. I bought alza 5mm 5b style tvps, roof, servo, and esc plates as a bday present to myself swap went perfect, tried 6s first time and blew gear in transmission first 30sec out got new gear in and now the front shafts too long, I searched n searched found a second shaft that's 1/4" shorter still to long by 1/2 inch???? N I can't figure out what's different

Are you using the diff cup from the nitro? It adds length.

Literally nothing was changed other then the gear Inside the trans, I tried swap the cups but the installed diffs have much thicker pinion shafts and only have 2 cups that fit
