front drive is spining faster than rear drive

when trying to find 2nd gear on my savage 25 the front drive started going faster than rear IE front spinning faster than rear drive up a small dry dirt hill had to help it up. front spins faster than normal trouble shooting on here because i lost the shed keys yesterday so cant get to check car just yet just need help oh and the disc brake came off as well

I would start checking the setscrews on the output cups on the transmission. sounds as if the rear one ejected and became lost......

this pic shows the spur and brake discs, where the brake discs attach is the drive cup, there is a set screwpin on the cup holding it to the trans shaft.... same thing up front just no brake discs......



Flip the truck over and you should be able to see both pretty easily

THere's also a cup on the other end of each center axle connected to the diffs. Check those cups too.

Right I did forget those 2 and also forgot to mention that a dab of blue locktite is your friend when reinstalling them.....

got in in the end went on youtube and looked up how to pick lock and now i don't need keys any more

On the negative side though, other people no longer need keys to get into your shed either. That is, unless you lock it and pick the lock every time you want to get in.

found the shed keys checked an it was the brake cup set screw ordered more and got some lock tight thanks for all yours guys help thanks

well thats good news, now ya have some locktite take out any screw that threads into metal and put a dab on the threads and reinstall them to prevent the truck from disassembling itself while driving......

But avoid using it on or around plastic as it's mildly corrosive and over time will soften the plastic.
