Fried my spur today !!!

Well i finally fried my frist spur gear today. Now i am asking for some advice form some of the experts. Should I stick with the plastic or upgrade to steel. If i upgrade should the clutch bell also be changed to a vented or hardened.The clutch bell om my X is stock. If there is any thing else i should replace feel free to let me no. Thanks for all of your help.

if you go to steel run a vented bell. that way you are set to run aluminum shoes also. biggest thing on spurs are your mesh. check your mesh after playing with the motor. If it feels good check it again. to me the steel spurs are more forgiving to bad mesh. go with the hpi steel spur and racers edge titanium nitride cb. good combo there. at least for me.

Thanks Mega, can u give me the link for the cb. What do you recomend for a good set of shoes. Might as well do it all at once. How hard is it to replce the shoes this is going o be my frist experince with changing the shoes.
