Frame rail swap

I want to know if I can use savage x frame rails on my savage 25 will they just bolt or do I need other parts to do the swap

Hi

Yes they will bolt right up, but they have week spots around the X in the frame. That's why they sell for dirt cheap.

Hey thanks for the info I bent one on 25 really bad I can buy them for 8 dollars new on Ebay I guess that is why they are so damm cheap

Remember to use an X engine plate because the 25 has solid supports where the X is cut out for the rear driveshaft. That took me 30 mins to figure out yesterday lol.

Good to know about the X plates. I'm keeping my 25s so I can always go back!

Thanks for the info. I'll post pics when I start the build just stock piling the parts .
