ok i got to thinking again(i know it should be a crime) but since the flywheel in a savage cant be used for a bump start setup can you dremel off the outer excess of it to help reduce rotational mass a little, considering every little bit helps when it comes to making parts roll easier?

Your idle may become a little more sensitive, the flywheel's mass helps keep the rotation going in one direction. Not enough rotating mass and your engine "can" fire BTDC causing it to reverse and start running backwards when starting, I have seen it happen lol.

Never knew that Robin.....Good info.

On a side note, that would be interesting to see.

Airplane engines suffer a lot from this due to the light weight blades, I had one bite me pretty good two years ago and almost removed the end of one of my fingers, good think it was barely idling. Land nitro's don't do it as often because of the flywheel, shoes, springs and nut, all that helps keep the rotation moving in one direction. Once the engine is running it's not an issue, it's only at starting that this can happen.
