Hey guys i figured id make a new post for my flux and leave the other one for as i modify.
I got my flux all charged up and ready to go for the first time. when i went to plug it in a program the ESC it would not beep or anything, it would just flash a yellow light. i asked a few questions in the shout box and bad asz advised me to check the throttle CHANNEL and the radio. i started with the plug going into channel 2 and sure enough it was backwards the way they had it plugged in. i switched it around and the esc programmed first try after that.

After i had that i went to try the functions (steering, throttle brakes reverse). the problem i ran into here is that the reverse kicks in instantly. I came on the shout box for advice again and i was told i either have to wait for the castle link i have coming or do it thru the TX following the instructions here.
http://www.castlecreations.com/support/documents/drivers_ed_guide.pdf
I followed along and wrote how i was going to do it so i could go at a quick enough pace to keep up (throttle, brake throttle etc.) I could only get the reverse lock set, then after that when i went to set the brake % it kicks me out of program mode and back to normal driving mode. So i figured with that being set i could atleast have the two second delay before reverse but still no go. i even tried the setting to get rid of reverse all together but still no dice. I got frustrated and unplugged the lipos for the night. This morning i said screw it and plugged them in and went for my first rip. i got sick and tired of waiting. Everything worked great (although i had no brakes, otherwise id be slamming it into reverse right meow) But it was cool. 4S makes crazy power. i know your supposed to ease into it for the first few runs but i had to pull one standing back flip before i put it away just to see if the zippy's had it in them. So i got one run in but id love to be able to thrash on this thing and use brakes at the same time , so if anyone has some tips for the programming set up to be able to go all the way thru id appreciate it. what i did, just so you know is this.

Hold throttle down turn on esc get 4 beeps, wait then four more, after that released throttle to neutral and it beeped slowly and continuously. for the first option i held full throttle (reverse lock out 2 sec) and then it acknowledged with a quick beep, then it gave the second option with its series of beeps, and i held full brake to say no to 25% I wanted to try 50% (DEFAULT SETTING) but when i tried saying no with full brake nothing happened it just sat with a red light with no acknowledgment. then after i released (held for a long time waiting) it would kick me out. what gives? Any one try setting there truck up with a tx and had success? if so please let me know how you did it. I'm not gonna lie I'm a straight up newb to electric but I'm trying to understand ( i even read that drivers ed book thru bank :hardlaugh: )

Anyways i guess the moral of this essay is standing back flips kick bum

as of right now I'm gonna say yes. if i could actually take it out and bash it it would be hell yea. You can make more money any day but to do a standing back flip with a savage you need a flux.😀Jjam:

heys guys, i took the flux out for the first real run tonight. the castle link came in and i set it up. that thing is nice. i also had my spektrum back so i threw it on. first set up after bind it worked great. brakes where just as i wanted them. not quiet enough to endo but still right there and stops FAST. This thing is unreal. I took it out to the front street, since it was dark, and atleast the street lights would light the way. I eased into it at first then on the return trip i had it going pretty good then i punched it and it would still lift the front end at about 2/3 throttle. i had to let back off to keep her down. I'm very happy i talked myself into 4s cause these batteries are sick. i know zippy's get alot of controversy but they get a thumbs up from me for now. Standing back flips no problem too. I also was very happy with the handling although a RSC still would be a nice touch to it from what i hear. As soon as i get a better camera ill get some vids. i tried with the ole ladies camera but when i try to view it on the computer its real choppy so i guess ill keep trying.
