Hey guys, I am in the middle of the FLM mid tank with a 250cc tank and ext tvps. Is the FLM motor mount necessary? Or can I stick with the stock hpi mount. Reason is because I stripped one of the hex screws on the hpi mount and now I can't get it off. I tried to mount the stocker onto the flm engine plate but it doesn't want to line up with the holes on the plate. So, any suggestions on how to get the stripped hex screw out? I have no idea.

You can run the stock Mount it shouldn't be a problem. Please see your other thread as I left you a few options on getting the screw out.

Ya I saw that thanks! I don't have a dremel but I've been wanting one so I'll make a trip to home depot tomorrow. If that doesnt work, I guess I'll have to get a new motor. Oh no...

1. you can use the stocker mill mount but have to change the screws on the exhaust side of the motor mount to button heads so they will fit under the tvp & the m.mount holes will line up with the motor plate.

2. if you don't have a dremel, then use a big enough drill bit & drill out the stripped bolt head till you cut the head off the bolt. then take the motor off & vise grip the rest of the bolt out.

wear your safety glasses 8)

Well, I got myself a dremel today and cut a notch in the hex screw for a flat head driver and it worked beautifully! All I have left now is the ofna throttle/brake, rpm receiver box, and hump pack placement and I will be ready to rumble!
