well folks ive had a lil forward progress and a little backwards. tonight i finished up my cen diffs i had laying in a trillion pieces. very happy with the end result and the mesh i took my time and think there gonna work great. i just gotta swap them in. my backwards progress is I'm stripping the servo adapters. i cant set my end points with my stock radio anymore and ive chewed thru two of them. any tips in this area. i really love this truck tho i gotta say. its the beast ive always wanted. just a few little button up things like switching the diffs and a few orange add on's (exhaust couplers, ofna linkage kit) and ill be happy as a pig in pooh.

I am a little slow these days and just saw this truck. Wow that looks like a beast. That truck looks to withstand a beating like no truck has every had. Let us know how it does. Great work!

buy the servo-arms that are made specifically for the servo brand you're using. that way you don't have the adapters caz ya, you'll strip them.

ok cool fred, thanks for the advice. i think the 5645 may be to powerful for the throttle possibly. lol. i probably have one for it laying around i was just trying to the throttle mod like bank had. ill just alter it slightly. thanks for the comment cwheeling. I'm sure hoping it handles the abuse i want it to take once i debug it.

the pics were taken with my cell so they don't really do it justice. it was a mess. lol. so i pulled it apart and cleaned it all up and greased and lubed it back up. changes since the last time i posted the truck up are simple just kinda went back to basic on a few things. stock shocks in the rear, flux big bores up front, re geared for cen diffs, got rid of alloy shock towers, and changed the throttle servo from a 5645 hitec to a futaba 9541. nice and quick and i stopped stripping servo horns since its got less torque. I'm sure there more little things but basically i simplified and improved on what was bugging me. here it is all cleaned up ready to go round two.

ya after driving the flux and truggy and buggy i noticed how nice it was to have them handle like they do. just something new, the baja's will some day make there way onto something else I'm sure. I'm gonna test the truck out tomorrow and see what happens.

well the mount i have doesnt allow me to mount it inside. not enough clearance up and down. When i tore it apart i was gonna change it to a standard mount because it bugs me and the roto start has a hard time fitting. But when i did one of the screws was stripped. I'm going to drill it out or try an ez out someday but i wanted to drive it so i just slapped it back together for now.

i dunno ill figure it out. if i have to drill it then run a tap thru no biggie. i got lucky in the past with my drill jobs where i never touch a thread but I'm not gonna back on it. I'm hoping a torch and a ez out. damn cheap screws....
