Hey guys what's the final word on savage XL (flux v2) shocks do you reckon?

Thinking about either:
- increasing the current 4 plastic ones to 8

- switching to alu shocks x8 (recommendations greatly appreciated!)

- switching to super large alu shocks x4

What does everyone think?

I'm mostly doing fast/big jumps - currently mainly on grass/dirt till I'm happy I can fly this thing properly

PS: Easy sourcing of spares is important to me. 8 x A720 is about £240 in the UK which seems like a silly amount to spend on shocks so I'd prefer not to go that route...

Don't buy those 6mm shaft shocks.

Or if you want to, buy my lightly used set that now occupies my trash bin. The shafts are too big for the bodies. And with no proper bladder they hydrolock very quickly. Total and absolute junk.

I have a set of yeti XL shocks I'd sell, also light use but had to run OE alluminum big bores for a race, so ended up getting Hpi alluminum big bores (the 4).

Those aluminum shocks are a waste of money.
In my experience, you just need to make two mods to the original shocks:
1- better rod ends

2- Install a spacer inside the shock to reduce shock travel

I've been running the original shocks for two years now, all I replaced was a shock body and one or two shock caps.
And look what I do with my Savage:

scab a set of losi shocks from their 1/8 trucks or even the cen from reeper and goliath ( probably more redily available)
