Everyone has the extended chassis .. Thinking of jumping on the Wagon .. BUT !!!! I want something that will protect the head .. The stock plastic roll bar for the X just wont cut it. And you can't use the plastic head proctor. what have you guys done to protect the Head .. Other then body ?

Just so you know I got rid of my long chassis last year. I prefer the short wheelbase. I like the instability of it, pulling wheelies, turning too sharp and counter steering to keep it on all fours. Just my opinion. :jamout:

I agree but I also have never had EXT ones. I did think long and hard before purchasing my IRC's but I'm glad I got the stock length now that I have had a chance to drive a few with EXT. They would be better for racing IMO.

I love my EXT chassis trucks. Both of my Savages are extended and will stay extended however I am wanting to build a 3rd truck which will be standard so I have a standard length truck. On my racer as you know its all carbon fiber and I use my carbon fiber roll bar which helps but doesnt go over the head like the stock setups but on my basher I run the stock plastic X roll bar and head protector but I have built a little aluminum angle bracket to accept it. It actually works great. Here is a pict of it if:

I also have a print of this if you want to make one for your self. It is bolted to the IRC LST shock Mounts. The LST shocks also need to be tord the front of the truck instead of the rear which works just fine as well.
