I'm about to upgrade the chassis on my Savage 4.6

What's the advantage to going with the extended chassis such as the one from FLM?

Would I need longer drive shafts when using the extended chassis?

Thanks guys...

There are a few advantages. They give a longer wheel base( more stubility), give extra room. mine are .05 ext in the rear, moveing the shock tower away from my gas tank and exhaust pipe. they come with a longer drive shaft. Ones like FLM are lcg meaning they move the trans and engine lower in the chassis, given better controll of the truck, also more mounting areas for diffrent mods. if your going to be moding it like a mid tank convertion ones ext. in the front will give more room. so depending on the tvps there can be a lot of advantages.

mondragon is right they do handle alot better and give you more room for mods. i have a set of the IRC 1'6mm lcg plates and i love them their is a night and day difference between them and my stock truck as far as looks and handling go . good luck in wich ever you choose

I bought the FLM extended lcg chassis but haven't received it as yet so I'm not sure if they're coming with longer shafts.

I also got the chassis braces, MSR5 suspension, integy monster 3 suspension arms and shock towers, 3 speed tranny and a few more upgrades.

Need to find out more about the gearing though.
