image.webp image.webp Hi all newbie here. I've got a savage X rtr with few mods. Question is I've put a exhaust diverter on and now it is flat as hell do I need to retune to get prof penance back or just take deflector off. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!

Since you didn't post pictures of the side of the truck with the exhaust........, I can't tell you what kind of impact the deflector you've installed will do. It is not uncommon though that modification to the exhaust will require some amount of re-tuning.

I wouldn't think that deflector would make a huge difference, but as has been said above, any change usually makes some difference.

Thanks for that just didn't know weather to lean more or not as was running ok till I put deflector on.

Yea, that shouldn't make too much of a change, though it will add a little back pressure. I would re-tune accordingly. If you continue to have issues with your tune then look into the possibility that something else has changed causing your issue.

You could shorten it by about half and rotate it so the extender points away from the truck. Where you have it right now, your basically going to get oil and crap all over the same spot as if you didn't have it. Those things flop around really bad when running.

I never noticed much change in tune when running one. I have them on all of my RC's.

Happy you found the problem. Just a question though when your tuning your truck in are you keeping an eye on what you temperatures are?

Yea got it to about 255 but sure I could lean more but scared of going too far. Spose it's better that way. Won't wheelie on Tarmac tho Lol
