Exhaust cone

In the box of the Savage X 4.6 there is an inner cone included for the exhaust to be quieter. Will it be loosing in power though? Will I need to retune the engine after installing the cone? Has anybody done that? The guys from my LHS said I'd be better without it. Any input? (I love the sound without it...)

i never used mine at all so i cant really say but most don't even use the composite pipe and cone, you can buy the hpi polished exhaust for like $20.00 on ebay from NITRONUTZZ and its alot better pipe then the composite one!!

I believe the cone is supposed to give you better bottom end. Yes you'd have to make some minor adjustments if you install it. I had it in mine originally but I was having temp problems so I tried taking it out. I ended up changing the pipe before I tried it again with it in though. It only takes a minute to install so give it a shot and see if you like it.
