I have a question about engine break in its winter here in New York and I'm worried about the cold temps for engine break in should I just wait till spring I got the savage x 4.6 for my son and he's ready to use it but I don't want it to get messed up from not properly breaking it in due to cold temps

Not an expert, but I believe that cold is a problem as it prevents the engine getting up to desired temps. If you are going to try, pre heat the engine with a hair dryer to at least 150 f. Wrap the heat sink in tin foil while running to keep it warm.

Read the suggested break in procedure as recommended on this site. It is different than in the manual, so you will have to decide which to use. Search " break in"
