Hey everyone, just wondering do you use the Turbo Button in your Picco P3 28?

Also, if you switched it from the regular button to the Turbo Plug did you see much difference in performance?

If switching to a Turbo button and plug do you stay the same temperature as a normal Plug?

that makes 3 of us!! i've always wanted to know what the turbo heads are for sooo...... bump!

I plan to. So I have not voted. I'll post back when I do. Its off to Robin now for the mod job. When it comes back I plan to run 1 more quart thew it b4 I really get on it. After that point Ill know what it has with the stock button and make the change. I'm doing it just because I like turbo plugs over the stock type. Just a better design over all. But Ill try and note if it makes anymore visible/usable power. I doubt Ill be able tell.

Sweet that would be great banker. I would love to hear. I have heard they are an improvement because you will get a better burn but who knows.

I will also be trying one at some point. Picco should be here next week. This one will be stock.

Some one must have tried one or have experience? Where are you at? Where's Pure when ya need him?

With turbo buttons there is a little better burn, the placement of the plug in the button is more precise and is more smooth where the plug sticks through. All of these things do add to a small performance gain, but for bashing I doubt it will be very noticable. Turbo plugs do tend to last longer but are also more money to start with, I'm refering to picco turbo plugs as I have seen and heard of great life with them, other brands I'm not so sure.

It would make sence to me if all or most of your other engins had turbo button's but the cost of replacing it and purchasing turbo plugs may not be worth the hassle. I also think that a savage does not run in the top rpm like race rc's do and that is where you may benifit the most from having a turbo button and plug. In a light weight trug or bug you may see the difference but in a 12lbs savage, I doubt you will.

I'm gonna stick with the standard plug for now based on info in this thread, still interested to hear banks thoughts std vs turbo plug after he makes the swap.

this is a great thread & many have a question on this so........ bump.

yea...i'd like to know to. a friend of mine has an RB928 with a turbo plug...and it semms like every about 3 or 4 runs he is replacing them. with my old f4.6 and McCoy MC-9's i replace a glow plug like about every 3 months....and that was been ran every weekend with O'Donnell 30% nitro. love to know the difference on a P3 though.......

I agree. The difference is so minimal you wont be able to feel or see it in car.. especially a 12LB RC. But if your going for every ounce of power you can possible gain then turbo button it is!
