I was thinking about upgrading my shock shafts (hpi threaded) To titanium to they make them ????

I was looking into getting some titanium stuff made, I will add that to the list and get back to you when I find out he cost.

cool thanks . Probably cut them to size . they just need to be threaded at one end .. thanks cck

In the ti, I have no idea what the shafts are made of stock, the PSI for ti is 6300 according to wikipedia. I would find out what the stock ones are made of and see if the ti is stronger.

I have a feeling it may not be.

hey SJ, I have used the stock and the ti. shafts on the lst and muggy shocks. They really didnt seem all that much different in strength, maybe the stock might bend a little quicker. I don't really think that they will make that much difference, but the only time I have busted losi shock shafts is hitting them square on something. Never broke one jumping.

There are many type of ti. You have to get the right hardness is all. You can get it just like aluminum up to harder than steel.

The "titanium" shafts for the LST, assuming you're referring to the ones from Team Losi, are titanium-nitride COATED. The core material is steel like regular shafts.

Nope not what we were talking about. Ti nitrate just makes them smoother longer. We are talking about getting some fun titanium ones made. And no I haven't had a chance to contact the suppliers yet.
