diff shim sizes help

Hey everyone. I have been having problems with my diffs in my XL. I read a bunch of post on shimming and I bought a the Kyosho shim pack 8x10mm. I thought that was the correct size for the bearings because I'm getting a lot of side to side in the bulk head and toasting my pinion gears. Well as some of you know they don't fit. Thanks for the help guys this diffs and giving me a real headache.

I'd like to get them in time to go bashing this weekend. Or if anyone else has any other suggestions of how to fix my issue that would be wonderful also.
