So i set the needles back at stock and began to retune. I couldnt get it to start so i was bumping the throttle a lot. Finally i got it started, warmed up and began to tune. It was running really mean and then all of a sudden i had no throttle or brakes. The steering still works fine. If i help the servo by giving it a little push i does try to work but i think its fried. What caused this? I did mess with the brakes a bit because i thinkiv already burned them up. My original plan was to upgrade the steering servo with something awesome and use the sf20 as the throttle/brake servo. Will that even work? I just bought this toy on a whim and overpriced, bought new tires and wheels and broke and replaced some stuff too. So i need to be cheap right now. Will a sf20 bolt right in and work?

The SF20 will drop right in, no problem.
Was your T/B servo stock?
If so i wouldn't worry about it, upgrade to a Hitec 645 plenty of speed and torque for throttle / brake. and even a good servo for the steering. at under $40 a servo why not upgrade the throttle / brake and steering servos 🙂

Might want to check that the batteries see fully charged. The throttle return spring is pretty strong n will kill the batteries kinds fast. But if check that first. If nor that and the servo really is dead then upgrade steering servo then put ateerring servo on the break n throttle.

What would be a decent steering servo at a decent price? Theres so many. The batteries were pretty new but ill double check. I also need to get a battery pack rather than buying AAs.

Also, i was having problems with the truck the other day. When i switched the truck on nothing happened even after replacing with new batteries. I tapped around with a screwdriver and the power came back. My antennae is only about 5 inches long cause i rolled and tore it up. Its been working fine other than that one occasion. Just thought id mention in case it has something to do with the servo not working or going bad.

Check that the power is pushed in the reciever really good and the bayterry wire is connected really good. Then once batteries see in. Yet rolling them back n forth in the holder so they get really good contact. Regular AAs die pretty fast. A battery pack is best. But rechargable batteries work awesome aswell. A cheap servo that works decent is the hitec 645mg. Its ok. Way better out there but for the price it works great.

Got a pic of how the 3 plugs plug into the reciever? There's 3 plugs but 4 places to plug them. I removed them and am not sure they went back in the correct spots. The manual doesn't mention this.

Cool thanks. A guy at work had a servo in his toolbox so we put it on and everything seems to be working. Ill test it out this evening.
