I want to do some testing when I run at the track and was wondering if they would fit stock shock towers or do you need to use LCG shock towers?

Very cool there are also a few alum shock towers out there that will alow you to use those shocks.

you might have to order anther set of rears, the front are a little to short even with the lcg towers

mine werent. bolted right up. but i did change the eyes to cen gst caz i like em.

only difference between the fronts & rears are the springs. they give you a set of gray for front, white for rear.

I would have to agree. The Fronts should work as well, in most cases they aren't that much shorter. It will just give the truck a little more rake. You can place them in different mounting holes to give it the same stance front and back as well.

The Truggy shocks will be to short for the stock towers but my LCG towers are perfect with these any of these shocks. They also allow the body and all to sit closer to the chassis giving it a closer Truggy look.

I already sent you a message Jason. LOL.

Do you think it would make much of a difference even if they were shorter? Also I see that they have different shock shaft lenghts.

Kevin me and fred both have them... they are not shorter. Read your thread silly. D8T may be... D8 are not

Here's some info that might be useful to some. I was doing some research about the shocks and found out that car bottoms out when you lift up the rear and drop it about 15cm.

People are fixing this by getting the yellow 68mm springs (part #67547) and run 400-500cps shock oil in the rear and then run 350-400cps oil in the front with the grey springs or 400cps in the front with the white springs.

It seems hotbodies shock oil is measured in cps. Here is a quick conversion site to help you determine it in wt.

http://www.offroad-cult.org/Special/cps_wt_umrechnung/cps_wt_convert.php

Had to edit my above post about what shock oil to use. It read 350-400wt but then realised they should have said cps rather than weight.

Fred, Justin here is the proper info.
