CV Boots

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if there are some kind of cv boots they sell for the savage or do you have to custom make them yourself? I have noticed them on the revo's and maxx's and also was wondering why they have them. Are we suppose to keep them greased up at all times because I don't have anything on mine. Anyone with some insight with this would be appreciated. Thanks Terry

i used to use grease, but sand gets mixed in & it makes grinding compound.

i ran em dry till Maximus gave me some dry ice race lube to try. works pretty well.

i think form on here used boots, but they ripped.

but i say leave em dry or try the dry ice. no grease imo.

I can say that boots are a real good idea, but like frddyj said they will rip on you. The ones I have were kinda hard to put on, so if I find too many of them ripped when I tear the truck down sometime this winter I may try that dry ice myself.
