any suggestions on a good after market head?

Nova, is the best if not the only cooling head around. I run all stock heads but have only heard great things on the Nova heads.

i was going to say NOVA or GH RACING is now making some nice looking heads as well!!!!

The Nova heads are very fine. The look great and are VERY strong. Not to mention the temp drop. Just be careful not to tune by temp when you get one and check your temps at the block not in the head.

thanks for the good word whip. i put on a nova head a couple weeks ago & haven't been able to run it yet. good advice my friend!

There can be a difference of 30 degrees even using the stock head. The block is what you worry about anyway.

It's best not to tune by temp. It can be used as a bases, but don't lean a motor out just because it's running below 250.
