Should there be any play in the clutchbell? i ordered a shim kit because my clutchbell had a ton of play in it. if i use 3 shims there is no play at all. spins freely but no play. i had heard i should leave a little bit of play for when it heats up it could expand. so would one less shim do the trick? It also doesnt seem to line up perfectly with my spur gear. is that ok?

It sounds like you should use 2 shims, and if you don't have an adjustable engine mount the clutch bell wont always line up perfect with the spur gear, as long as it is in contact with 3/4 of the spurr gear it should be fine..
