Recommend some. The LRP has eaten my aluminum ones, twisted off a dog bone and stripped a wheel hub. 47/16 was brutal. 47/17 was better. I have 47/18 here to try next when I fix the damage.

WELCOME to the wonderful world of too much torque.... I still think the Alloy shoes are the best way to go... possibly it will help to go with stiffer springs to help control some of that power.....

If the shoes have worn down to the groove where the spring rides they are gone and need replaced, if they just have some burrs use a file and remove the burrs... if the springs are not holding the shoes down tight enough they are worn out and need replaced also

I just ordered integy 7075 shoes for mine. I'm running the stock teflon shoes and they are ground down almost to the springs. I'm running an integy 7075 alloy 2 shoe in my OS21TM revo and they seem to be doing ok. I thought about trying the max life's too, but back when I ran with some LST guys, they had multiple sets of those break off at the pins. Not sure if it was their driving style, gearing, tires or what, but it happened more than once with the shoes not being that worn. Hope they hold up for you.
