I recently melted the teeth on my spur gear.
I replaced that and tried to run my truck tonight, but upon idle the clutch would engage and the truck would try to pull away, but it didn't get enough torque.
When I hit the throttle it would drive, but it was a little rough to stop.
I took my clutch bell off and there is a wear line around it, caused by the springs holding down the clutch shoes.
Is it possible that my clutch bell was getting hot enough from the burning clutch to melt the teeth on the spur gear? And is it possible that the springs have lost their ability to hold the shoes down until I hit the throttle.
