Just a quick question regarding the clutch installation I did last night.

I followed the instructions shown below:
Engine.jpg

When the 'Z517' screw was lose, then '77107' would spin freely and without resistance. However, once tightened up to a normal level, it became slightly stiff, there was some resistance when trying to actually turn it by hand. It was easily turned, but it just seemed a little stiff.

Is this how it should be?

I assembled everything as described in the above diagram, clutch shoes were rather annoying to install but they function correctly.

Thanks in advance for your comments =)

Remove z694 and see if that helps. Make sure you don't have too much play, if so you need to get a clutch shim kit with varius size washers (thickness).
Hope this helps

I was thinking of doing this, however I thought that 'B021' might eventually break down the aluminium nut it is against, if 'Z694' is not there.

I was just thinking, could it possibly be because the aluminium nut (before 'Z694') is not screwed down tight enough? I did it as tight as I could. But the problem was that none of my socket sets would fit over the shaft. I ended up using some pliers. But it was rather hard to tighten due to the three shafts sticking out.

Should I experiance no resistance at all when turning '77107' by hand, or is a little resistance normal?

You shoudn't see any resistance to the CB or 77107. I have never ran a washer or #Z684 between the bearing and the nut. I haven't seen any issues doing this. I agree with savageman remove the washer and see how it acts then. let us know back.

There should be no resistance, it should spin freely. You should't have any problems wearing down the bearing. You need a 10mm deep well socket for that nut.

I will take the engine off tonight and remove 'Z694' see how it runs then. I will let you guys know I get on with that.

Thanks for the advice!

It turned out that the "pilot nut" (sorry savageman46 not sure what the part number is.. lol) was not fully tightened up. I did this and put everything back on, now it spinds freely. No resistance!

Thanks for the help guys 🙂
