So I went out and bought the HPI racing clutch bell (vented) and got rid of the RR. Now when I replaced the RR bell to HPI I put everthing back the Z694 washer, then B021 ball bearing, 17t clutch bell another ball bearing B021, the metal bushing 86171,and the head screw. Once I tighted it up the bell was so tight it didn't move at all. I backed the screw back half a turn it was ok but it seemed the screw was out to far. Should I be ok if I put the lock tight on it or should the screw be tight. Cheers!!

It can have some play this wont hurt anything but you don't want to much. You can buy shim kits which have different thickness of shims which you may find one that will tighten it up but like said a little play will never hurt.

i agree a little play is ok if their is to much then you will need the shim kit

i had the same problem
I'm pretty sure i got a round object that would fit over the crankshaft and taped on the flywheel to push it on a littl more
then the clutch bell sat fine

This is a very nice shim kit http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNXK4&P=7 . It also includes some very nice Pieces for the washer on the end of the crank. Here is a picture of it on one of my old engines.

I actually used the center sleeve/race of a collapsed clutch bell bearing...worked like a charm...
