cheap shock upgrade for 4.6rtr

hey guys i'm try to upgrade my shocks for my 4.6 rtr and keep the price reasonable. i'm mainly a basher but i like it be stable in turns and i would like them to be able to handle some punishment. i know about the old adage you get what you pay for, so i'd like to get quality parts. so what shocks would you guys suggest? thanx for your input.

stock shocks will take a lot of punishment. break one and through a new one in for cheap and keep going. i have stock shocks on two of my trucks and LST's on the other. for bashing the stocks take it well. have you tried different weight oil and springs? maybe your current setup just needs tweaking. if your dead set on upgrading big bores and lst's are both good in there own way.

a member had IRC shocks for sale on ebay. don't know if they sold but they are a good build as well

not sure what you mean by 'reasonable' the big bores or LST2's are gonna run you on the light side of $100

ive run the stock shocks & cens so far & the stocks have proven better for me, & haven't broken 1 but i got TONS more stability in turns when i added maximizer 1/2" offset rims & good foams... just something to think about.

I agree. I run bone stock shocks with 35wt oil in them and life is good. I beat the snot out of them & they keep coming back for more. You can't beat $10 for spare parts!

I like my stock shocks for now, I did put rc raven triple rate springs on them, low cost upgrade for 8 brand new ones, world of difference from stock springs to triple rate.

I can testify for these. I put them on my T-Maxx and it made a big difference.
