I bought a CEN 7.7 tuned pipe off ebay for my savage XL and it seems to be working great, the only problem is that i am using the header that came with the new pipe and it doesnt sit very well, and I have a bent coat hanger taking the place of the stock hanger. My quesions are :
1. Will using the header that came with the origonal stock pipe work just as well? If not is there a place that i can get one that will work better and sit better on the chassis?
2. I keep seeing on the web that some people are removing the baffle from the pipe and getting better performance and others are saying the opposit, which is true?
