So, just got my savage octane out of the garage to start it up and after it failing to start I checked the spark and the LiPo I always used for the CDI won't power the CDI anymore... But my NiMH I used for the servo does. The LiPo does power the servos fine though. Charged the LiPo to full and the charger says it's at 8.2V. anyone know why this is happening?

Is it the connection between the battery and the CDI? The CDI should be ok from 4.8-8.4v but maybe it has some sort of fail safe if voltage is too high. There not a cheep part these days so probably best to keep it around 7.2 if you can. I realise this is an old post so hopefully you got this sorted and are having some high octane fun right now.
