Iv seen a nylon roll cage .. Not the stock HPI one but one like drummers but nylon ..

yeah iv seen the nylon too, just wondering if cf is better. its good for plates and stuff just wondering if it would make a good roll cage as well. thanks

this project can get butt-expensive in a hurry. not sure the c/f is gonna handle the loads and angles that a cage would put on it.

might be better off buyin some lcg tvps (which lower the mill & tranny 1/2" into the tvps) and just running the stock hpi plastic roll bar and a lid- never steered me wrong.

i have seen a few guys mount 2 or even 3 of the plastic HPI roll bar... works quite well at protecting anything internally, apart form the shock towers which get bent and scuffed up pretty quickly, inc the shock screws which get full of dirt making it hard to get an allen key or screw driver in there... (this was always annoying for me..)

well i was in good shape, lol the xl roll bar is to long and the standard is to short, i guess the FLM tvps aren't quite xl lenghth so I'm with out a roll bar, oh well.

not sure what you mean but the roll bar that comes stock on the savage x, xl, flux (not the cage, just the bar) is all i used on my flm. bolted right up. worked sweet.

yeah.

it works killer with the stock roll & lcg tvps. see the clearance. you run a body on your truck & between the roll bar & shock tower you'll be in great shape.
