I noticed tonight that my carb is sticking open i moved the carb around to see if it helps it did a little bit its still sticking open.. Anything i can do to fix this

Not sure if I have welcomed you but welcome to the forum!. Check your return spring for the carb slide or your linkage could be backwards.

Was working fine till i pulled the carb out.Dunno if the carb has to be postion in there a certin way for it to slide perfect

It should not need to be in a specific position as long as it is oriented correctly. Does you linkage bind when the carb tries to go back to neutral?? If possible can you take a vid of it and post, this may help.

Did you look down inside the carb to see if anything had fallen inside it? WD-40 the crud out of it too.

yea mine used to stick also .. Just make sure your throttle linkage isn't binding and I used to put some after run oil on the slide seems to help

I pulled the carb out to clean around to see if its leaking. The local hobby shop closed down. what can i use to clean the motor up to seal the eng besides nitro cleaner. I don't think i have it pos. back to where the factory had it

if your angle and linkage is good and it still is sticking...shout me a pm. i have 3 spares

Does it stick with nothing hooked up to it (linkage, spring)? Maybe the linkage is not set to move that far, maybe the endpoints on the remote are off.

It only seems to stick with the linkage hooked up. I went threw it agian lastnight took Sj advice put some after run oil in it. It seemed to help some.

Picco .26's were famous for sticking slides. Theres a groove that the idle speed adj screw fits in and slides back and forth in the slide. Sometimes these cheaply made slides may have a burr or two in the slot. When the engine gets hot its more frequent. the metal expands and the burrs catch the idle screw more. I,ve only heard of picco .26's doing this, but I guess its possible on any motor.

I went to seal my carb today and some how both of the o-rings got cut where them black silder things are thathold it in. I went all over the place trying to find o-rings to replace them. is there another way i can run the carb without the orings so it don't have an air leak

if your linkage is in a bind then i would sugest when you put your carb back on leave the pinch bolt loose and find the spot wear the slide dose not bind then tighten the pinch bolt down. I have also found it helpful to move the return spring else wear on the truck so that it has more tension on it to shut the carb faster and better.

if that doesn't work... try "gorilla snot" (yellow weatherstriping adhesive). i have used that with no problems....but only use the 3M kind. i had found that most o rings were too fat that i found inmy Napa store. that should get u straight

If its only sticking with the linkage hooked up, it is not your motor. If its the linkage, you will have the same problem with your new motor. Take a look at your linkage, or take a pic of your linkage so we can see and get you up and running.

I had the same thing, I left my truck for a while and bamb! its stuck!! I tryed for an hour trying to loosen it! finally it loosened up! and it hasn't stuck since!
