Carb fell out

I was running my savage today and the carb fell out i took it out the rest of the way and i found that i need the 2 o rings that seal it and the bottom of the insert is mushed up. Can you get a new insert or do you just file it so the o ring will fit in there again

It is the F4.6 and i took the carb to work today and filed the grove back in the plastic retainer so the o ring should fit in i ordered the orings today so i will put a response up when it is fixed

maybe the pinch bolt wasnt tight enough to hold it in. but I'm glad you may have a fix to the problem keep us updated.

Yea i think the pinch bolt is what chewed it up while it rattled loose. Thanks for saying that because i was thinking that is what happend

no prob. just make sure you have a o ring thick enough to take up the extra room and make sure you seal it.

I ordered the o rings from hpi but what would you seal it with

The guys at hpi are going to send me a new carb i sent them a few pics and that was all they needed. I will let you know how it works
