I'm bored, so I think I'll make a thread about the various Car Stereo systems I've had during the years.

My first car stereo system was built in 2000-2001, before I got my license..

It consisted of a Clarion head unit, a Boshman 150w max power amp.

And a Dual Ma-Audio 12" woofer setup...

It did 127 Db, vibration measured.
I don't have any pics of that setup..


During the years I've had a variety of different setups, but I'll show some pics of them below, and some pics of my current setup.

Installed in the parcel shelf(since this pic, I've made a new shelf)

In addition, a LOT of sound dampening mats and foam, a few million yards of wire +++

The most I've gotten out of my setup is 154.4 db (pressure sensor) with the 15" stroker, and the Ma-Audio 4002 amp.

looks cool, but i hav to confess.... I ****ing hate INFINITY!
all we get at work are stupid little chavs wanting kappas as they have a bit more money than the references, but they don't want to buy an amp. tough. kappas run at 2Ω as you know and will fry a head units amp. we did a really nice install in a mk4 golf the other day, alpine w200 double din h/u, jl xr components front and rear, genisis 5 channel amp, running the speakers and possibly an 8w7, the guy has gone to ask his wife! i used to love the loud, now i'm getting on a bit, quality does it for me!

what numbers are you putting up? i plan on getting 2 FI BTL's with full options and walling off my car soon and run around 4k rms to each sub
