3. Model Engine Bearings

Usually they are lubricated by oil mist from the engine and so only have a shield or seal on the side facing outwards.

Often these bearings are required to spin faster than the usual limiting speed for their size, and so they may require features such as increased radial clearance and / or high speed ball retainers (cages) made from a variety of synthetic materials.

so the 5x11x4 is the tranny right

thanks frddyj if you use the part numbers i have put up you can find all kinds of bearings that are not rc related rc bearings are made in japan or china and are junk IMO only run ABEC5 or Better check it out . next I'm going ceramic ABEC 7

pretty kool guy, yeah the list your workin on (abec 5's, links, prices) would be sweet.

clutchbell bearings are 5x10x4, but not sure if you meant the bearings inside the tranny?

But, the Sav X owner's manual that came with my truck has all the sizes listed for it. i'll try to pull out the manny tonight & pm you some sizes if that would help.

good thread btw.

and the sizes they give in the manual are worthless because they only use hpi part # if you google the part number i give you, you will end up with other brands of the same bearing and many different quality levels for exampel search (MR-105-ZZ) witch is the clutch bell bearing, and you will end up with many different types of the same size bearing but with better qualities. i know this because i work sales at a bearing factory..

Ok, try typing the # into google like this .... HPI B023 & you get links with sizes ;)
