no lol

You got lucky, that would have been a $250 ticket here.

These cameras suck though and should be illegal. That picture doesn't even have proof that you are driving...

the ones here take pics of the driver and blur out the passengers

wow. we have new cameras on the tops of lights but there was a front page article in the paper that they are not "cameras" and only "monitor" traffic and adjust the signals. hmmmm at least for today I'm thinking...

can you post a pic of what yours look like combuster?

If I had them here id loose my lic in no time! I speed every where but just get lucky and have a few ticket fixers in my pocket.

I say just don't run red lights! they are all over philadelphia, once people starting dying at intersections in collisions due to "red light runners" they starting putting the cameras in.

+1 and I don't ! or late yellows...

We don't have those here either thank god! I never go the speed limit, I wouldn't be allowed to drive anymore either, because by the time I got the first one in the mail there would be like 30 right behind it LOL. Then they would probably knocking on my door.

this is the kind of camera that got me, they are not on every corner here just randomley put throu out are citys and towns, so unless you are looking every where streetsigns, traffic lights, bridges, street lights, even cota buss stops they put them in the most unexpect places here, and if you are looking that hard for them you have already rear ended somebody.lol

Last time I saw one of those someone had hung a bag over it. ^.^ Also if you are finding you run into these a lot they have GPS enabled radar detectors that have maps of all of these buggers in them. Can save you a lot of money if you drive places where you don't know they are.

lol.. they tried these cameras around my hometown, untill a local judges girlfriend recieved a ticket and he took it to court and won, they were up for almost 3 months till this happened, and my brother-in-law is a local officer, he said they brought in almost $12k in the first 3 months these cameras were up, after the judge won his case they forced the city to repay all traffic violators since the day they were in effect... and corrected all of their driving records... was a huge deal around here for a while since the city spend like $250k on these cameras now they are collecting dust in storage....

The cameras that were around here had security monitoring on them, if they were moved/touched/anything they would signal the closest officer and bada-bing.. knowing this from my brother-in-law and a close friend who tried spray painting the lense.... lol... he didnt get so lucky on getting his fines back..lol

They're not "scattered through-out our cities" in Ohio. In fact, speed cameras are only being used in a couple areas, including Cleveland and Heath, because while red-light cameras have been cleared through the courts, the legality of SPEED cameras in Ohio is still very much in doubt. Ohio traffic enforcement laws require a police officer to be in "plain sight" while monitoring traffic for enforcement purposes. This means the entire cruiser has to be visible to people traveling the road the officer is monitoring. There is also a provision in Ohio law that only the WITNESSING officer can write a traffic ticket. AND only a FULLY MARKED cruiser can initiate a traffic stop. All of this stacks up to make speed cameras a highly contested issue in Ohio.

BTW, all of this is one reason I will never set tire inside the city limits of Heath. If I ever receive a speeding ticket through a camera, it will be a pile of scrap by the end of the day. They're a violation of the Constitutionally guaranteed right to face one's accuser.
