Hi guys, for my birthday i really want to get a 1/8 nitro buggy so i can start racing, but i was wondering what i should get. I will probably receive around £200 - £250 and so will not be able to get a top of the range car just yet, so i was wondering what car would be durable, easy to handle, good for beginners, fast and good for racing. I've had my eye on a few things so far and here they are (with prices):
Hyper 7 - £200
Ansmann Virus 2.0 - £165
HPI Trophy 3.5 - £225
I was thinking of getting the Virus because they're modeled on Hyper 7s and they're cheaper, leaving me change for fuel and spare bits, but wondering what would be the best buggy out of these 3 and if anyone has seen them anywhere for any cheaper (UK). Also, you will have to take into consideration price and ease of part replacement and the fact that this is a HPI forum, it would be nice if it wasn't biased towards the Trophy 3.5.
Thanks guys,
Curtis.
