Hey guys, I have had plans to build a track for a long time. It looks as I am going to start on Saturday the 23rd. Here is a drawing of what it will sort of look like. I'm sure we will change some things around when we get to building it. The red lines are where jumps and moguls and stuff are intended to be.

I plan to make completely from dirt this year and add barriers of Drainage till come spring.

If you are interested in helping please let me know. I hope to get others in the small community interested as I have a few already and start some racing on it.

Let me know your comments and if you have experience of building tracks for racing let me know if you got some great pointers.

Finally gonna get this going huh? I really wish I was a little closer so I could take more advantage of this. Make sure to get some picture of how everything goes. I'm gonna have to make a trip out there atleast once to take a run at it when its done.

Yes you will and you are welcome to anytime. My brother is planning on buying a Acreage around town as well so I may build another track there at some point, but that could be some time.

To run on this track you will have to be approved by myself or my brother before hand more than likely and it will be fenced off with a were not liable statement probably because it is on our family business so we need to cover all grounds of injury so we don't have a lawsuit for some stupid reason.

PS>Most don't know this but I tore something possibly my ACL just below my knee on the 2nd so i'm hopping I will be alright by then so we can attack it hard, If not I will just have to be the measurement guy since I designed the track.

Also, do you guys know how much and were to get the Drainage Tile?

I have a few places around that do field tiling and will have to talk to them as they may be the cheapest to get it from but I just want to know about how much the stuff is per foot or whatever so I can get an estimated cost on it.

Its not bad price wise, I haven't priced it out though in some time. I assume you want the corrugated stuff for the edging of the track? I know you can buy big rolls of it at menards and home depot.

To be honest I haven't been to any local tracks. Just drive where I can. I know that they make 3 inch and 3 1/2 inch sizes as well.

Well guys I haven't updated this at all, but we did get a good start on the track. It's pretty much layed out at least where the lanes are, only have about 45min left. I hope to get the jumps/banking in before winter so the snow can settle down on it all and pack it well and then let the rain fall come spring and smooth it all out. It should be a nice track but may be a bit small but will be work able and fun to run on.

Sorry I have no pictures at the moment. Hope to finnish up the layout very soon and will get Pict's at that point.

The most part of why I'm not sure when I will get the jumps/banking in is because they are doing heavy dirt work around our new building around there so I need to wait to see what they are doing before I put to much time into it. There is also supposed to be a tile that runs out in the area where I placed the track and I don't want to get to far and have them run it right threw the middle of it.

They will be finished by Oct. 1st. So I will have time then and will have a new skid at this facility at that point as well. Where right now I a have to hall our older skid back and forth to and from this facility.

I will keep you updated as I can.

Lets hope that the snow stays away until you get a chance to give the track a good run. Definitely make sure you get some good pics/vids of it when you're done.

wells lets hope it all works out for ya larsenracing sounds like it will be a blast!!

12 and 8 foot lanes. Nice.

You could always invest in a track in Houston and use it 365. 🙂

Keep us updated man...

Well dang it I was out to our new site today at lunch. It's a good thing we didn't get to far into the track and the exact reason we held out on going to much further. They went threw it today whale they were Tiling. I guess we will be fixing it up sometime soon here. Good thing is I am getting a new to us or used 06' Bobcat S300 Skid for that facility.

How far have you gotten?

How far have you gotten on your project? We were talking about building a 1/2 scale oval out by Bigelow this spring. We will have to get together and get-r-done.

No ware at this point as it was destroyed when they planed Grass but we do plan to start again come spring and get one completed.

Agreed we will definitely do. Be nice to start some sanctioned racing or something between the 2 tracks or something. We will see. keep in touch.
