High Everybody and best wishes for the New Year.!!!
I just finished my 7th tank running my new Savage X 4.6 and my steering servo is gone into pieces!! Only one tank was run on low grass, with sharp turning and minor jumps... Is stock servo realy that bad or is it me doing something wrong? Should I fix the broken gear and have it as spear?

Thanks for all the info I read from U and again The Best To All of you for 2009

I ran my stock steer servo for a couple months, jumping & all & never had a problem... it is now my throttle-brake servo & i have a hitec 645 for my steering. I'm wonderin' if your servo-saver is a bit tight; that is what grenaded the steer-servo on my Hellfire.
.
Hap New Yr to you also my man. Great havin you here on the site!

Welcome to the forum! I would go and get a new servo. You can get a good servo for around $30. There should be approximately a 4mm gap from the adjustment nut to the bottom of the steering post on your servo saver. If the servo saver is too tight, you will strip out servos quickly. Also, use a little loctite on the adjustment nut to prevent that nut from slipping. Hope this helps you out.

happy new year thanos i would hook yourself up with a hitec 645mg servo the best bargain servo out there imo. for 40 bucks it has the power to move the wheels while the truck is sitting still

Thanks alot guys! I just ordered a hitec 645 servo following your advices... and my servo saver has a gap of close to 9mm !!! Only I can't find a way to loosen that nut. I gues I have to do more reading. And I was wondering what that spring was at the bottom...lol !!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY.
