Broken engine

Mornin all,
I think i found out the reason why my savage stopped mid bash the other day !.

Anybody have any suggestions as to how this happened?

Looks like something got wedged between the con rod and the block IMO. I'm no expert though.

Ummm...I think something broke. Appears to be either something got wedged in there, or the bearings got so bad that the rod was traveling way out there where it shouldn't have been (if that's possible).

thats possible, but there arent any bearings floating around the crankcase. although, it does look like that case has been smacked by the con-rod several times before.

looks like the crank broke and the rod punched it. is the post still on the crank? Or maybe even the con rod bearing..

maybe the piston skirt? either way, that mill's bashing days are probably over for good.
