Hello everyone, I know, there are tons of questions on this subject and I hate to ask it again, but I need help. I am new to this sport and purchased an X 4.6 RTR about a month ago. I have tried adjusting the caliper screws and messing with the adjustment on the brake linkage itself. I got the brakes working great for about five minutes or so (good enough to flip it over) but they just keep fading. So... what I need to know, is if I am yet another victim of the crummy stock servo or is there something else I can try? Thanks a lot for being understanding on this beat to the end subject!

well first of all welcome to the forum!! secondly what i did was replace the brake spring with a piece of fuel tubing thats just a bit longer then the spring this makes it easier for the servo to apply the brakes.."made a big difference for me" also alot do the ofna throttle/brake mod which theres a detailed thread here at the forum another thing, are you running aa's in your truck or do you have a hump pack installed? if your just running aa's they don't put out as much power as a hump pack will.. they put out 4.8 volts i think were a hump pack puts out 6 so it does make a difference as well.. hope this helps you a bit my friend!!!!

check the fiberglass at the brake plates it may be dameged from the hard braking if you were playing on high grip scarfaces or may be the scrwes at the brake plates

brakes who needs breaks lol jk I would go with the ofna mod all my trucks have them with stock servo's and i very rarely have problems with the brakes

Hey!!!! Thanks a bunch to all of you for welcoming me to the site and for all the great pointers. I pretty much know now where I need to start!! Hopefully I'll get all of that taken care of by the end of the week so I can do some more bashing this weekend!

Thanks again to all of you for the great info and opinions!
