Brake upgrades for svagae help!!

my BRAKES don't work at all on my savage is there any mods i can do to make them work hard

hello again lol a quick and easy fix is replace the brake adjusting spring with a piece of fuel tubing thats a bit longer then the spring its easier for your servo to push the fuel tubing then the spring so your brakes work better,second thing, are you running a hump pack or do you just put the 4 aa batteries in your truck?

you got the two red fiber disc? you can bent the break lever at the base twords the back of the truck slightly so it pulls harder when applied..

i converted it back to the a's because i didnt have charger and what spring do you have pic

well with the aa's your only getting 4.8 vlots of power and with a hump pack your getting 6 volts of power to the throttle/brakes.It doesnt sound like alot of difference but it is... and I'm talking about the spring right behind the dial that you turn to adjust your brakes and if you were planning on just going with a new better brake setup this is the one mentioned above and i would reccomend it as well http://cgi.ebay.ca/HPI-87025-Fiberg...Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e605e85b1

so take the plastic peice off an put fuel tubing also my linkage peice not sitting up like that is laying flat

uncrew the adjustment knob and take it off,remove the spring and slide a piece of fuel tubing over the linkage make sure its a bit longer then the spring

so your saying the rod thats standing almost straight up in the pic is lying flat on your truck?

yea its not up like that and the spring you talking bout is that silver one on that pic underneath the break linkage

if your brake rod is lying flat check the screws that hold the pads on they may have backed out

is it the ones on the outside of the tranny or inside

ya it shouldnt be able to lay flat its had to have come out or something

they are the screws on the outside of the tranny case right around the brake rotor

yea it broke so i got another one put on there but it should stand up if its properly in rite?

it will stand up if everything is right but if the rotors are wore out then no it wont

hey shaun can you show me how to get my break linkage like yours
