I just bought me and my son each a Savage x 4.6. I have noticed while breaking them in that the brakes do not lock up and seem weak . I played with them but at full brake i can push the truck pretty easy. Could it be the nitro getting on the brake pads or are they not wore in yet? I owned a Hyper 7 once and that thing stopped. I can't imagined me trying to stop the truck at full speed like this.

Put a piece of silicon tubing on the throttle rod approx. the same length as the spring that is on it.

yes put part of a fuel tube the size of the spring here is a pic of where your putting it its marked in red

I had that happen in the very beginning, i just had to charge up the receiver battery and it did the trick for me. Hasn't happened again.

ya this is a normal occurence, the fuel tubing trick helps, also if your not running a hump pack yet it helps as well..Because when your runnin the aa batteries your only pumping out 4.8 volts to the servo but with the hump pack its 6 volts and it makes a difference..

i had that same problem i just tightened up the knob at the end of the brake rod. worked great for me, it i screwed it in to much and the thing flipped over @!# over tea kettle, lol.

He never mentioned adjusting the thumb screw on the brake linkage. Start with that, then make sure your batteries are good. I use the SF-2 instead of the SF-1. It has double the torque rating and the brakes are incredible now. I have to dial them down just to keep the rear wheels on the ground LOL. I accidentally did the most awesome stoppie today, Hit the brakes too hard, the rear wheels came up really fast but by sheer chance I let off just at the right time so the truck didn't flip but was going like 20 mph for a couple seconds with the rear wheels almost vertical. It was awesome, if your into stunt bikes LOL.
